09.05.2025 (S.K. Medhi, J) Heard Shri V.K. Chandak, learned counsel for the appellant, who has preferred this appeal against Judgment and Order dated 25.02.2025 passed in Special POCSO Page No.# 2/2

Case No. 09/2024 by the learned Special Judge, Chirang, Kajalgaon convicting the appellant for the offence under Section 6 of the POCSO Act sentencing to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 20 years and also to pay fine of Rs. 50,000/- and in default of payment than to suffer further imprisonment for 2 (two) years and accused was further convicted for the offence under Section 363 IPC and sentenced to imprisonment for 2 years with fine of Rs.50,000/- and in default to pay fine to undergo further imprisonment for 6 (six) month.

Since Ms. S. Jahan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, has entered appearance and accepts notice on behalf of State respondent No. 1, issuance of formal notice to the said respondent is dispensed with.

Let steps be taken for service of notice upon the respondent No. 2 in the manner prescribed which is to be routed through the Office of the learned PP, Assam within 2 (two) working days from today.

List after 6 (six) weeks along with reports on receipt of records as well as service.
