                                              ORDER

16-06-2025 Heard Mr. K. Uddin, learned counsel for the appellant and Mr. D. P. Goswami, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam.

This appeal against the judgment and order dated 18.08.2022, passed by the learned Special Judge (POCOS)-cum-Additional Sessions Judge, Kamrup (Metro), Guwahati in Sessions Case No. 131/2018 convicting the appellant under Section 8 of the POCSO Act and sentencing him to suffer Rigorous Imprisonment for 3 years with fine of Rs. 5,000/-, in default to undergo Simple Imprisonment for another 3 months and also to pay fine of Rs.1,000/- under Sections 448/342 IPC, in default to undergo S.I. for another 1 month was already admitted for hearing by order dated 16.09.2022.

The respondent No.2, informant of the case and mother of the minor victim girl has also appeared in this matter.

Registry has also received the relevant record from the Court of learned Special Judge (POCOS)-cum-Additional Sessions Judge, Kamrup (Metro), Guwahati, pursuant to the order dated 16.09.2022.

Pursuant to the order dated 16.09.2022, passed in the connected I.A.(Crl) No. 541/2022 is on previous bail.

As this appeal was already admitted for hearing by order dated 16.09.2022, Registry shall list this matter for hearing in its usual course.
