Heard Mr. M Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. P.

Hazarika, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. SR Rabha, learned counsel Page No.# 2/2

for the respondent.

Mr. H Sarma, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the writ

appeal which was preferred by the State of Assam against the Judgment and

Order dated 08.05.2024 passed in WP(C) No.1467/2024 came to be dismissed

by a Division Bench of this Court by Judgment and Order dated 24.11.2025

passed in WA No.422/2024. This writ appeal was preferred after contempt

petition was filed. However, in spite of the appeal being dismissed, the direction

contained in the order 08.05.2024 passed in WP(C) No.1467/2024 has not been

compiled with.

By the Judgment and Order dated 08.05.2024 passed in WP(C)

No.1467/2024 the direction was given for reinstatement of the petitioner in

service in any non sensitive post. However, till date he has not been reinstated.

Let the matter be listed again on 12.12.2025, by which date learned

counsel for the respondent will apprise the Court as to what steps have been

taken for compliance of the Judgment and Order dated 08.05.2024 passed in

WP(C) No.1467/2024.
