                                    BEFORE

                                           ORDER

Date : 22.02.2023

Heard Mr. Varun Kr. Sinha, learned counsel for the petitioner.

Also heard Ms. S. Baruah, learned CGC appearing for all the respondents.

This writ petition is filed by the petitioners challenging the non selection of their candidatures in the selection process for recruitment of Constables (GD) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles in the examination held in the year 2018. The said examination was conducted by the Staff Selection Commission. It is the contention of the petitioners that they belong to ST, SC and OBC categories. However, inspite of their rankings in the selection process, they were overlooked and some other persons were appointed.
