Rule in this case was issued on 19.11.2014, but the respondents in the Irrigation Department have not filed any affidavit in the matter.

On the prayer of Mr. N Upadhyay, learned Standing counsel, Irrigation Department, list this matter on 19.09.2023.

On the said date (i.e., 19.09.2023), Mr. N Upadhyay, learned Standing counsel, Irrigation Department shall apprise the Court about the status of claim of the petitioner for his seniority promotion to the rank of Additional Chief Engineer, Irrigation Department and to revise and re- determine his pensionary benefit after collecting the quantifiable data relating to the three requirements in terms of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of M. Nagaraj and U.P. Power Corporation Limited directed by the Court to the authorities of the Irrigation Department in its order dated 08.08.2014 passed in M.C. No. 726/2014 arising out of WP(C) No. 707/2014 (Khagendra Nath Sarma and 15 Others Vs. Smti. Leena Thakuria and Others ).

In the meanwhile, the respondents in the Irrigation Department shall file their affidavit in the matter.
