1. Petitioners have sought quashing of FIR No.711/2021 of PS Lahori Gate for the offence under Section 498A/406/34 IPC on the ground that they have settled all disputes with the complainant de facto (respondent no.2 herein). All petitioners and respondent no.2 have personally appeared, identified by their respective counsel and IO/SI Kavish Rana.

2. I have spoken with the parties in Hindi.

3. It is submitted by both sides that marriage between petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 stands dissolved by way of decree of divorce with mutual

The respondent no.2 confirms that she has received her entire stridhan as well as full and final settlement amount towards alimony and she does not want to pursue prosecution of the petitioners. Detailed statement of parties was recorded by the concerned Joint Registrar.

4. In view of the aforesaid, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice not to push the parties through trial.

5. Therefore the petition is allowed and accordingly, the FIR No.711/2021 of PS Lahori Gate for the offence under Section 498A/406/34 IPC and proceedings arising out of the same are quashed. Pending application also stands disposed of.
