                                 CORAM: JUSTICE GIRISH KATHPALIA

                          JUDGMENT (ORAL)

1. Petitioners seek quashing of FIR No. 697/2017 of PS Dabri for offence under Section 323/354B/506/509/34 IPC on the ground that the complainant de facto (respondent no.2) has compromised the disputes with the petitioners.

2. Learned APP for State accepts notice. Respondent no.2 (identified by IO/SI Madan Lal) also accepts notice.

3. I have spoken with both the sides in Hindi. It is submitted by them that petitioner no.2 has been wrongly described as the wife of petitioner no.1

whereas she is the landlady of petitioner no.1. It is stated by respondent no.2 that under the influence of liquor, there was a quarrel between petitioner no.1 and her now deceased brother and in the said quarrel petitioner no.2 tried to intervene, which led to the registration of the impugned FIR. Respondent no.2 submits that she does not wish to pursue prosecution of petitioners and they have settled the disputes amicably.

4. Having spoken with both the sides, I am satisfied that it would be in the interest of justice to not to push them through trial. Therefore, the petition is allowed and FIR No. 697/2017 of PS Dabri for offence under Section 323/354B/506/509/34 IPC and proceedings arising out of the same are quashed.
