                                                         JUDGMENT

CRL.M.A. 25530/2022 (Exemption) Exemption is allowed subject to all just exceptions. W.P.(CRL) 2910/2022

1. The present petition has been filed seeking following relief:

"Direct the respondent no 2 and 3 to provide security to the life of the petitioners."

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner No. 1 and 2 are major and have entered into matrimonial alliance at their own free will. Learned counsel further submits that the respondent

Nos.4 to 9 are the relatives of petitioner No.2 and the petitioners are apprehending danger to their life and liberty as they are receiving continuous threats from them.

3. Learned counsel submits that respondent No.1 to 3 have not taken appropriate steps for their security and have also not responded to the complaint made to them.

4. Learned ASC for the State has submitted that he may be provided with the mobile numbers of the petitioners and he shall also provide the mobile numbers of the beat officers to the learned counsel for the petitioner. Learned counsel for the State submits that the State shall provide the appropriate security to the petitioners in accordance with the rules.

5. In view of the submissions made by the learned ASC for the State, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petition may be disposed of with a direction to the State.

6. Respondent No. 1 to 3 are directed to provide all assistance to the petitioners and to ensure the safety and the security of the petitioners.

7. With these observations, the present petition stands disposed of.
