2. The application is disposed of.

1. This so called Public Interest Litigation has been preferred with the following prayers :

"a. Directing the respondents to ensure proper arrangement for safety and security of the people residing in shelter homes (Rain Basera).

b. Directing respondents for making arrangements for Essential facilities must be ensured in each shelter which includes drinking water (RO), sanitation, separate toilets for men and women, bedding, first aid kit with proper medicines and its description, recreation facilities, vector, control, kitchen facility, etc.

c. Pass such further or other orders, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case in the interest of justice."

2. Having heard learned counsel for both the sides and looking to the facts and circumstances of the case, it appears that several grievances have been ventilated by the petitioner regarding the safety, security and providing essential facilities like drinking water, sanitation, toilets etc. to the people residing in shelter homes (Rain Basera) run by Government of NCT of Delhi.

3. It appears that without filing any representation with the respondents, this petition has been preferred by the petitioner on the basis of newspaper reports. In this eventuality, it would be suffice for the disposal of this writ

petition to direct the respondents to look into the grievances ventilated by this petitioner.

4. Accordingly, we hereby direct the respondents to treat this writ petition as a representation and look into the grievances of the petitioner and take the decision, in accordance with law, rules, regulations and Government policy applicable to the facts of the case as early as possible and practicable.

5. With these directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
