Vide this petition, quashing of FIR No. 342/2018, registered at police station Dwarka South, Delhi for the offences under Sections 420/406 IPC, is sought on the ground that the subject matter of dispute inter se parties stand amicably resolved.

Notice.

Mr. Avi Singh, learned Additional Standing Counsel for respondent No.1/State accepts notice and submits that petitioner and respondent No.2 are present in the Court and they have been identified by

the Investigating Officer of this case.

Respondent No.2, who is the complainant of FIR in question, submits that the dispute between the parties has been amicably resolved. He affirms the contents of his Affidavit of 23rd November, 2019 supporting this petition and submits that now no dispute with petitioner survives and so, the proceedings arising out of the FIR in question be brought to an end.

Upon hearing and on perusal of the FIR of this Case, I find that continuance of proceedings arising out of the FIR in question would be an exercise in futility. Accordingly, this petition is allowed and FIR No. 342/2018, under Sections 420/406 IPC, registered at police station Dwarka South, Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed qua petitioner subject to deposit of cost of Rs. 25,000/- with the Delhi High Court Staff Welfare Fund, by the petitioner.

This petition and application stand disposed of accordingly.
