For the reasons stated in the application and in view of the present prevailing situation, the present application is allowed. However, the

1. This public interest litigation has been preferred with the following prayers:-
"I. Issue an appropriate Writ or Order, directing the Respondent(s) to take stock of the condition on high priority and resolve the havoc of water-logging at the earliest as it posing serious threat to life, property and livelihood of hundreds of thousands of people. II. Take stringent actions against the errant officials/Respondents for the lethargic and insensitive approach towards the grave issue of water-logging and especially for putting lakhs of innocent people's lives in jeopardy.
III. Pass any other and further order(s) which this Hon'ble Court deems fit and necessary and in the interest of justice."
2. Having heard the petitioner, who appears in person and learned counsel for the respondents, it appears that the main grievance ventilated by the petitioner is about water logging in Kairari area of Delhi.
3. It is submitted by the counsel for the respondents that already 32 pumps have been installed to drain out water from the said area and further work is going on to improve the situation. They state that a tender has also been issued by the Delhi Jal Board in this regard (Annexure P-1 to the memo of the writ petition).
4. Thus, it appears that the respondents are already taking steps to

Signing Date:31.08.2020 15:32:29 ensure that water-logging problem in the said area is tackled and we expect that the efforts will be continued by the respondents and that they will ensure that the process for the tender which has been issued by the Delhi Jal Board (Annexure P-1) shall be finalized as early as possible and practicable.
5. With these observations this writ petition is disposed of.
