                         J U D G M E N T (ORAL)

1. The petitioner has challenged the award of the Labour Court whereby compensation of Rs.2,00,000/- has been awarded to the respondent.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner urged at the time of the hearing that the compensation amount awarded by the Labour Court is on higher side and it should be reduced and the award be set aside.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent urged at the time of the hearing that the compensation awarded by the Labour Court is fair and reasonable.

4. This Court is of the view that considering the relevant facts, the compensation of Rs.1,50,000/- is fair and reasonable.

5. Learned counsel for the respondent submits on instructions from the respondent present in Court that respondent is willing to accept Rs.1,50,000/- as compensation.

6. The writ petition is partly allowed and the compensation amount of Rs.2,00,000/- is reduced to Rs.1,50,000/-.

7. Pending application disposed of.

8. The petitioner has deposited Rs.1,50,000/- with the Registrar General of this Court in term of order dated 08th May, 2019.

9. The Registrar General is directed to release the said amount of Rs.1,50,000/- along with interest accrued thereon to the respondent by instructing UCO Bank to transfer the same to his savings bank account within two weeks. The details of respondent's bank account are follows:

10. List for compliance on 18th October, 2019.

11. Copy of this judgment be given dasti to counsel for the parties under signatures of the Court Master.
