                          JUDGMENT

BRIJESH SETHI, J (oral)

Petitioner is seeking parole for two months to file Special Leave Petition in the Supreme Court of India.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel for State opposes the same on the ground that the petitioner has been previously involved in two

other cases.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has completed his sentence in said two cases and only he is serving sentence in the present case and moreover, only eight months sentence remains to be served. He further submits that mother of the petitioner will stand surety for the petitioner.

Heard.

In the interest of justice, the petitioner is directed to be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release on his executing a personal bond in the sum of Rs.10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent, subject to the following conditions:

i) The petitioner shall provide his mobile phone number to the Jail Superintendent at the time of his release, which shall be kept in working conditions at all the times. The same shall not be changed without prior intimation to the Jail Superintendent;

ii) The petitioner shall report at the local police station to mark his attendance on every alternate day at 11:00 a.m. during the period of parole;

iii) The petitioner shall duly surrender at the end of the period of parole; and

iv) The petitioner shall also not indulge in any criminal activity while on parole.

A copy of this order be communicated to the Jail Superintendent.

The petition stands disposed of.
