1. This writ petition has been instituted by this Court on its own motion as a Public Interest Litigation on the basis of a news item published on 19th May, 2017 in the newspaper "The Indian Express".

2. Vide earlier orders passed by this Court in this writ petition, directions were given to the Medical Council of India to draft the guidelines for the conduct of the doctors.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the Medical Council of India submitted that in the meeting held on 26th March, 2019, Medical Council of India has

adopted the guidelines suggested by Mr. Prashanto Chandra Sen, Senior Advocate (Amicus Curiae). These guidelines are known as "Guidelines for Doctors on Sexual Boundaries" which have been uploaded on the website of Medical Council of India on 4th April, 2019 as stated in the affidavit dated 6th April, 2019 filed by Medical Council of India.

4. In view of the aforesaid guidelines already published and brought into force by the Medical Council of India, we see no reason to further monitor this case.

5. Before parting with this case, we record our appreciation to Mr.Prashanto Chandra Sen, Senior Advocate (Amicus Curiae) for rendering valuable assistance to this Court in drafting the aforesaid guidelines.

6. With the aforesaid observation, this writ petition stands disposed of.
