SANJEEV SACHDEVA, J. (ORAL)

1. Petitioner seeks regular bail in FIR No.44/2018 under Sections 420/468/471/467/174 IPC, Police Station Domestic Airport, IGI Airport.

2. The allegations against the petitioner are that the petitioner had assured the complainant that his taxi would be attached with the Indigo Airlines and had given him documents executed allegedly by Indigo Airlines, which were found to be forged. Further, the signature on a cheque in the sum of Rs.84,775/- was found to be forged.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated. He submits that he had not entered into any agreement with the complainant. Rather, he submits that the complainant

has extorted money from the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that without prejudice to this rights and contentions, the petitioner is willing to deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- with the Trial Court.

4. Petitioner was taken in custody on 12.09.2018 and police remand was taken only for one day and thereafter the petitioner has not been examined by the Investigating Officer.

5. Learned APP for the State, under instructions, submits that the investigation is nearly complete and chargesheet is in the process of being finalised for filing.

6. Without commenting on the merits of the case and keeping in view the nature of allegations and the fact that the investigation is complete, I am of the view that the petitioner has made out a case for grant of regular bail. Accordingly, on petitioner furnishing a bail bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court and depositing the said amount of Rs.25,000/- with the Trial Court, petitioner shall be released on bail, if not required in any other case. Petitioner shall not do anything which may prejudice the investigation, trial or prosecution witnesses.

7. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
