W.P.(C) No.11495/2017

1. The grievance of petitioners in this case is that they have not been considered for promotion to the post of Senior Managers. While asserting that not only juniors but even two ineligible candidates were promoted, it is submitted that this grievance was brought to the notice of

first respondent by way of a representation (Annexure P-5 Colly) on 20th November, 2017 and even prior thereto, a representation (Annexure P-6) was made by first two petitioners on 25th November, 2016 but to no avail. Learned counsel for respondent No.1 submits that if the representations (Annexure P-5 Colly and Annexure P-6) are not dealt with, then it would be definitely dealt with within a period of 12 weeks.

2. In the facts and circumstances of this case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to pass a speaking order on petitioner's representation(s) (Annexure P-5 Colly and Annexure P-6) within a period of 6 weeks if not already done and the fate of the representation be conveyed to petitioners within 2 weeks thereafter so that petitioners may avail of the remedy as available in law, if need be.

3. With aforesaid directions, this petition is disposed of.

4. Dasti to counsel for both the sides.
