ORAL

1. In these petitions, a mandamus is sought to first respondent to pay the arrears of salary to petitioners in terms of orders of 11 th February, 2009 and 1st July, 2016. At the outset, learned counsel for petitioners submits that to seek the relief as sought herein, representation has not W.P.(C) No.11592/2017 & conn.matters Page 1 been made. In the peculiar facts, permission to petitioners to make representations to respondent No.1 within two weeks ought to be granted.

2. Despite service of advance notice, none has appeared on behalf of first respondent.

3. Upon hearing, these petitions are disposed of with permission to petitioners to make representations within two weeks and if such representations are received by the first respondent, then it be accordingly dealt with as per the applicable rules and regulations within six weeks and its fate be conveyed to petitioners within two weeks thereafter, so that petitioners may avail of the remedy, as available in law, if need be.
