CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY
EDUCATION & ANR ..... Respondents

Akhil Kulshrestha, Advs.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJIV SHAKDHER
ORDER
% 28.10.2015 CM No. 24516/2015 (Exemption) 1. Allowed subject to just exceptions. WP(C) 10011/2015 2. Issue notice.
3. Mr Bansal accepts notice on behalf of respondent no.1. In view of the order that I propose to pass, no notice is required to be issued to respondent no.2, that is, the concerned school.
4. The principal grievance of the petitioners, is that, their name in the class X certificate issued to petitioner no.2 is not correctly recorded. According to petitioner no.2, his name is Mohd. Danish Khan, whereas in class X certificate his name has been recorded as MD. Danish Khan. Similarly, petitioner no.1, who is the father of petitioner no.2, avers that his name is Mohd. Asif, whereas in class X certificate issued to petitioner no.2,
his name is recorded as MD. Asif Khan.
5. Learned counsel for the petitioners says that the correct names of the petitioners are recorded in the class IX certificate issued by the concerned school, and in the class XII certificate issued by respondent no.1/ CBSE.
6. I have perused the Class X and XII certificates issued by respondent no.1/ CBSE. The names of the petitioners in the class X certificate and class XII certificate are recorded differently. Class XII certificate issued by respondent no.1/CBSE is in consonance with the certificate issued by the concerned school in class IX to petitioner no.2.
7. Having regard to the above, in my view, this is a case of a simple correction in the names of the petitioners as recorded in the class X certificate issued by respondent no.1/ CBSE. The issue raised is covered by the judgment of this court dated 17.09.2015, passed in WP (C) 5323/2015, titled : Kalpana Thakur and Anr. Vs. CBSE and Anr. and judgment dated 17.09.2015, passed in WP (C) 7157/2015, titled : Mukul Mann Vs. CBSE and Anr.
7.1 Accordingly, respondent no.1/ CBSE is directed to carry out the necessary corrections in the class X certificate in conformity with the class XII certificate issued to petitioner no.2.
8. No further directions are called for. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
