1. Vide the present petition; the petitioner seeks directions for quashing of FIR No. 487/2013 registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj (South) for offences punishable under Sections 323/341/506 IPC.

2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the aforesaid case was registered on the complaint of Mr. Inder Mohan Thapar respondent No. 2 who thereafter settled the disputes with the petitioner in March, 2014. Thus the respondent No. 2 does not want to pursue the case further against the petitioner.

3. The respondent No. 2 is personally present in the Court. He has been identified by SI Vinod, PS Vasant Kunj, Investigating Officer of the case. Respondent No. 2 states that the matter has been settled amicably

with the petitioner, therefore he does not want to pursue the case further and if the present petition is allowed he has no objection.

4. Learned APP appearing on behalf of the State submits that after investigation charge sheet has been filed, the case is at initial stage of investigation; and since the respondent No. 2 does not want to press the case against the petitioner, the State has no objection if the present petition is allowed.

5. Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the parties, and the statement of respondent No 2, I hereby quash the FIR No. 487/2013 with the proceedings emanating there from against the petitioner.

6. The petition stands allowed.
