1. Mr. Alamjeet Singh, proprietor of the petitioner and Mr. Kshitiz Mahipal,

Legal Executive of the respondent, are present. Counsel for the respondent states

that a new bill dated 29th August, 2007 has been issued and a demand of Rs.

2,32,409/- was raised in respect of the inspection held on 22nd December, 2006

as the earlier bill of Rs. 1,49,296/- was issued under a mistake.

2. During the course of hearing, the parties have agreed to settle the entire

dispute with regard to the inspection held on 22nd December, 2006 and the bill

issued by the respondent of Rs. 2,32,409/- on payment of Rs. 68,000/-. The said

payment of Rs.68,000/- will be made in four equal installments within a period of

four months. The first installment will be paid on or before 26 th March, 2010 and

the last installment will be paid on or before 26th June, 2010.

3. Counsel for the respondent assures that on the said payment being made by the petitioner as per the schedule fixed above, steps will be taken to withdraw

the prosecution, if any, filed under the provisions of Electricity Act, 2003. The

petitioner assures that the installments will be paid as per the schedule fixed

above.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
