Learned counsel for the parties submit that they do not have the complete records to argue the appeal. They pray for and are granted three weeks' time to obtain the certified copy of the records.
However, the Principal Secretary, Law and Legislative Affairs Department, Raipur and the Director (Prosecution) are directed to file their own affidavit stating as to why the State Government is not providing the copy of records to
the State Counsel/office of Advocate General on appeal being filed against the judgment of conviction and order of sentence. The affidavits be filed within a period of two weeks from today.
Thereafter, list this matter for final hearing on 03.04.2025.
Learned State Counsel is directed to communicate this order to the Principal Secretary, Law and Legislative Affairs Department, Raipur and the Director (Prosecution) for information and compliance.
