       The Court : Affidavit of service filed in Court today is taken on record.

       After repeated services the defendant company has appeared before the

Court with a prayer to extend the time to file affidavit-in-opposition in this

application which is inter alia for judgment on admission filed by the plaintiff.

The time to file affidavit-in-opposition has expired long back.

       In the aforesaid facts and circumstances, subject to the defendant/

respondent paying a cost assessed at Rs.5000/-, the time to file the affidavit-

in-opposition is extended till 10th April, 2026. Out of Rs.5000/-, Rs.2500/- to

be paid to the High Court Legal Services Committee and the balance Rs.2500/-

to be paid to the plaintiff. The payment of cost is a precondition to the

acceptance of the affidavit-in-opposition even if the same is affirmed within the

extended time period. The department shall accept the affidavit-in-opposition

on being presented before it for filing after ascertaining the payment of costs.

It is made clear that in the event the affidavit-in-opposition is not filed within

10th April, 2026, this matter will be heard without such affidavit.

The time to file affidavit-in-reply stands extended till 28 th April, 2026. Let

this matter appear in the monthly list of May, 2026.

The defendant is permitted to file the Vakalatnama and the affidavit of

competency in the department by 27 th March, 2026.
