The petitioner claims to have been engaged as a
Civic Volunteer under the Ausgram Police Station in the
year 2014 in the District of Purba Bardhaman. He was
posted at Chora Investigation Centre under the Ausgram
Police Station.
In the same year, i.e., 2014, the petitioner came to
be implicated in two several cases. The first case is G.R.
2488 of 2014 under Sections 447, 435, 506, 427 read
with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
The second case in which the petitioner was
implicated in G.R. 1507 of 2014 under Sections 341,
358, 323 read with Section 34 of the IPC. The petitioner
has been acquitted in G.R. Case No. 2488 of 2014 on
February 6, 2019. In respect of G.R. Case No. 1507 of
2014, he was acquitted on July 19, 2019.
The petitioner has made a request to the
Superintendent of Police, Purba Bardhaman for re-
engagement.
In those circumstances, the Superintendent of
Police, Purba Bardhaman shall consider the suitability of
the petitioner's re-engagement in accordance with law
and dispose of the petitioner's request within a period of
2 months from the date of communication of a copy of
this order.
With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition
is disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this judgment, if
applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all
formalities.
