            1            Heard the learned APP appearing for the Respondent/State.



            2            The Petitioner has filed his application addressed to the Hon'ble

the Chief Justice of this High Court wherein he prays for expeditious and

speedy trial as also for appointing senior advocate by the State to represent

him in Sessions Case No.717 of 2011 arising out of C R No.129 of 2011

registered at Kurar Police Station.

3 Since the said Sessions Case was registered in the year 2011 and

this Application has been filed by the Petitioner in the year 2017, in all

probability, the trial in the said Sessions Case might have been completed.

However, in case the trial in the said Sessions Case is not yet completed, we

direct the concerned Sessions Judge presiding over the Sessions Court Room

No.29, Mumbai, to expedite the trial of the said Sessions Case and take it to its

logical end including pronouncement of judgment as expeditiously as possible

however within a period of one year from the receipt of the copy of this order.

4 Needless to observe that, the parties shall extend full co-operation

for early disposal of the said Sessions Case.

5 With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.

6 The Registry shall send a copy of this order to the concerned

competent authorities who in turn shall communicate the same to the

Petitioner.
