Heard Mr. Zoting, learned counsel for the applicant.

Issue notice to the respondent, returnable on 30.6.2022.

Cri. Application No. 149/2022 The applicant who was the accused in proceedings under Section 138 of the NI Act has been convicted by the Special Court by the judgment dated 8.7.2013 and sentenced to suffer SI for one month and so also to pay compensation of Rs. 70,000/-. The appeal has been dismissed by the learned Sessions Court by the order dated 8.6.2022.

Mr. Zoting, learned counsel for the applicant submits that Rs. 20,000/- out of the compensation amount has been deposited, which leaves the balance of Rs. 50,000/-.

On the condition that the balance compensation of Rs. 50,000/- is deposited in this Court, the sentence shall 75crrevn133.22.odt

stand suspended and the applicant be released on bail on furnishing PR bond of Rs. 50,000/- with one surety in the like amount from the date of deposit of balance compensation.

Application stands disposed of.
