Relying upon paragraph 92 of the judgment in the State of Maharashtra and anr. vs. Keshao Vishwanath Sonone and anr. [2021 (4) All MR 784 (S.C.] , it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner's affinity with 'Gond' Scheduled Tribe ought to have been examined by the Scrutiny Committee. The petitioner's tribe claim has been rejected merely by taking into consideration the documentary material as entries of 'Gond Gowari' are found in old documents.

Issue notice to the respondents, returnable in three weeks.

Ms. K.R.Deshpande, learned Assistant Government Pleader waives notice for respondents.

Record of the Scrutiny Committee be obtained for perusal.

To be heard alongwith Writ Petition No. 4517 of 2022.
