ORAL JUDGMENT (PER SUNIL B. SHUKRE, J.) :

Heard Shri Chaware, learned Counsel for the petitioner, and

Smt. Joshi, learned I/c. Government Pleader for the respondents.

2) Rule, returnable forthwith. Heard finally by consent of the

learned Counsel for the parties.

3) The petitioner is a student and, therefore, would expect the

Scrutiny Committee to decide her tribe claim at the earliest, in her

anxiety, to secure admission to best Colleges for pursuing her

academic dreams. It would then be reasonable for this Court to

issue directions to the respondent no.2 Scrutiny Committee for

expediting the decision in the matter.

4) In view of above, the petition is partly allowed. The

respondent no.2 Scrutiny Committee is directed to decide the tribe

claim of the petitioner in accordance with law at the earliest,

preferably within six months from the date of receipt of this

judgment. Rule accordingly. No costs.
