1 None appears for the parties. The petitioner was in the employment of the respondent. The petitioner made an application to the respondent requesting the respondent to allow him to avail of benefit of voluntary retirement scheme. It appears that the respondent did not permit the petitioner the benefit of voluntary retirement scheme. Therefore, a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to permit the petitioner to avail of benefit of the voluntary retirement scheme is sought.

2 In this petition, there is no interim or ad- interim order passed in this petition. From Exhibit-B to the petition, it appears that the petitioner must have reached the age of superannuation in the year 2008. Hence, this petition does not survive and the same is disposed of. Rule is discharged.
