ORAL JUDGMENT (per B.R. Gavai, J. )

1. Rule. Rule made returnable forthwith. Heard finally by

consent of learned counsel appearing for the parties.

The applicants have approached this Court for quashing

and setting aside the first information report registered vide Crime

No.214/2014 with Hudkeshwar Police Station.

3. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of respondent

no.2 states that the matter has been amicably settled between the

parties and the respondent no.2 has no objection for quashing and

setting aside the first information report.

4. It appears that the first information report is an offshoot

of the property dispute in between the applicants and respondent

no.2. Since the parties have settled the matter, no purpose would

be served in continuing the proceedings further in between the

parties. Rule is, therefore, made absolute in terms of prayer clause

(i).
