The Court made the following:

JUDGMENT:

This his appeal was filed by the claimants against the award of the Motor

Accidents Claims Tribunal - cum - IV Additional District Judge, Tirupati in

M.V.O.P.No.289 of 2012.

2. The Tribunal awarded compensation of Rs.28 lakhs against respondent

No.1. Respondent No.2 - insurance company was absolved from liability to compensate the appellants. The appeal is filed challenging the award to that

extent only.

3. The docket order shows that on 07.07.2023 there was no representation

on either side. On 29.08.2023 there was no representation for the appellants. The

matter was posted on 05.09.2023, under the caption 'for dismissal'. On

05.09.2023 at request of learned counsel for the appellants, the matter was

posted after one (01) week, deleting from the caption 'for dismissal'.

5. Today there is no representation for the appellants.

6. Learned counsel for the respondent No.2 is present.

7. The matter pertains to the year 2018.

8. In view of the above, the Motor Accident Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is

dismissed for "want of prosecution".

No order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall also stand

closed.
