The Court made the following order:

This Criminal Petition under Section 438 of Cr.P.C., is filed seeking

to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner/accused pertaining to Crime

No.319/2024 of Pendurthy Police Station, Visakhapatnam, registered for

the offence punishable under Section 420 of IPC and Section 76 of Chit

Funds Act.

2. Heard both sides.

3. Perused the record.

4. The allegations against the petitioner are about running an unlawful

chit fund business and cheating the subscribers. The FIR was registered

on 30.06.2024. One of the submissions of the learned counsel for the

petitioner is that police have been calling her to police station and making

her to sit all the day, without any purposeful interrogation.

5. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the offences

alleged are punishable with imprisonment of 07 years and less than 07

years. It is, in these circumstances, investigating Police are directed to

comply with Section 41-A Cr.P.C and all the directions given by the

Hon'ble Supreme Court in the judgment in Arnesh Kumar vs. State of

Bihar and Another1 related rulings.

6. With these observations, the anticipatory bail application is

'disposed of'.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
