               WRIT PETITION No.6241 of 2021

ORDER:

The petitioners are theatres situated in Nandyal, Kurnool

District. They are seeking enhancement of rates of admission

into their theatres and for this purpose the petitioners had made

applications before the High Power Committee for such

enhancement, which are pending since 12.03.2021.

2. The petitioners rely upon the Judgment of this Court

dated 24.12.2020 in W.P.No.24883 of 2020 to submit that they

would be entitled to increase the rate of admission and the said

increase need not await the decision of the High Power

Committee.

3. In view of the Judgment of a learned Single Judge of this

Court in W.P.No.18779 of 2014, the writ petition is disposed of

permitting the petitioners to collect the rates of admission as

mentioned in their respective representations to the respondents

for the Telugu movie "Rangde" which is proposed to be released

soon, subject to strictly adhering to the circular instructions

issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh from time to time

and Standard Operating Procedure issued by Ministry of

Information and Broadcasting, Government of India dated

06.10.2020 for exhibition of films on preventive measures to

contain spread of Covid-19 and subject to compliance of

direction issued in earlier order passed in W.P.No.9734 of 2019 2 RRR,J W.P.No.6241 of 2021

and batch, following the order of Division Bench in

W.P.No.18779 of 2014.

4. With the above direction, writ petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

5. Registry is directed to annex a copy of Standard Operating

Procedure issued by the Ministry of Information and

Broadcasting, Government of India, dated 06.10.2020 for

exhibition of films on preventive measures to contain spread of

Covid-19, to this order.

As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall

stand closed.
