I.A.No.1 of 2021
Heard Ms. J. Sumathi, learned Government Pleader
for Services-II appearing for the applicants-appellants.
Also heard Mr. T.V.V. Koteswara Rao, learned
counsel for respondent Nos.1 to 5-writ petitioners.
This is an application for condoning delay of 138 days in filing the connected writ appeal.
The judgment assailed in the appeal was delivered on 28.09.2019 and the present appeal came to be filed in the month of April, 2021.
Placing reliance on paragraph No.8 in the affidavit filed in support of the application, it is submitted by Ms. J. Sumathi that as the writ petition was disposed of at the admission stage, some time was taken to collect the material papers on account of which some delay had occasioned initially and thereafter, because of lockdown from 24.03.2020, the appeal could not be filed during the interregnum period.
Considering the matter in its entirety, we condone the delay.
Accordingly, this application stands disposed of. Registry will list the appeal for motion hearing after ten days.
