I.A.No.1 of 2021 in W.P.No.12351 of 2020 I.A.No.1 of 2021 in W.P.No.12352 of 2020 I.A.No.1 of 2021 in W.P.No.12353 of 2020 And I.A.No.1 of 2021 in W.P.No.18869 of 2020

The petitioners, who were selected as Firemen and police constables, were not given appointment on the ground that they were involved in criminal cases and have suppressed the fact of their involvement, in the applications submitted for appointment. Aggrieved by the said refusal, the petitioners had approached the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal by way of O.A.No.1568 of 2014, which was decided in favour of the petitioners. Thereafter, W.P.No.34535 of 2014 was filed by the State, against the order of the Tribunal dated 04.03.2014 in O.A.No.1568 of 2014. This writ petition was disposed of by a Division Bench of this Court on 23.01.2020 leaving it open to the petitioners to make a representation to the authorities for reconsideration of their applications in the light of the various judgments set out in the order of the Division Bench.

Thereafter, the petitioners had approached the respondents for appointment. However, the representation of the petitioners was again rejected by the respondents and aggrieved by the same, the petitioners herein filed the present set of writ petitions in which directions had been given to the respondent

authorities to consider and pass appropriate orders on the representations made by the petitioners.

The petitioners have now approached this Court with the submission that representations could not be filed within time as the review petitions had been filed earlier before this Court and the same were closed subsequently.

In that view of the matter, these applications are allowed and the petitioners shall be granted further time of one month from today to file their representations before the respondent authorities.
