Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned Standing counsel for the State.
The applicant is before this Court for a direction to initiate contempt proceeding against the opposite party for wilful disobedience of the judgment and order dated 19.9.2014 passed by Deputy Collector (Revenue) Varanasi, in Restoration Case No.1 of 2015-16.
Today when the matter is taken-up, it is very fairly argued by learned counsel for the respondent nos. 2 and 3 that the aforesaid case has already been decided on 23.7.2018.
In view of the statement so made, this Court is of the opinion that the present contempt application is dismissed as having become infructuous.
