However, Sri Arunendra, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the State-respondent is present.

The instant Criminal Appeal arises out of judgment and order dated 24.10.1985, passed by the Special Judge, Unnao in Sessions Trial No. 360 of 1984, under Sections 302 I.P.C., Police Station Bangarmau, District Unnao whereby the appellant has been convicted to undergo imprisonment for life.

It transpires from the record that vide office report dated 02.04.2022 that pursuant to this Court's letter dated 09.03.2022, the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Unnao has sent the compliance report dated 28.03.2022, whereby it has been mentioned that the sole appellant-Arjun Singh has died. Alongwith the said report, report of Police Station concerned, Death Certificate issued by the Gram Pradhan and statement of one family member are enclosed.

In view of above, the appeal stands abated.
