Heard Sri Gyanendra Pathak, Advocate holding brief of Sri Ajey Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Pradeep Kumar Singh, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

By means of this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed that the opposite parties be directed to consider the appointment of the petitioner on the post of Sweeper (Safaikarmi) under Dying-in-Harness Rules on compassionate ground, as the husband of the petitioner died on 10.02.2018 and the application was preferred by the petitioner on 04.05.2018.

As per learned counsel for the petitioner, no decision has been taken by the opposite parties till date and the family of the petitioner has been suffering a lot.

This is the case of appointment under Dying-in-Harness Rules, therefore, the authorities concerned should take up the matter with promptness without any unnecessary delay.

Let the counter affidavit be filed within three weeks. Rejoinder affidavit, if any, may be filed within two weeks thereafter.
