HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD ?Court No. - 37 Case :- WRIT - C No. - 38737 of 2006 Petitioner :- D.L.F. Universal Ltd. And Another Respondent :- State Of U.P. And Another Counsel for Petitioner :- Shesh Kumar,T.P. Singh Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C.,Anurag Khanna,Ramendra Pratap Singh Hon'ble Amreshwar Pratap Sahi,J.
Hon'ble Saral Srivastava,J.
This writ petition is connected with writ petition no. 7279 of 2006. A common ground which emerges in both the writ petitions is about the exemption being claimed by the petitioner from imposition of stamp duty on the instruments in question in terms of the notification dated 19th January 2005.
The present writ petition has been filed assailing the proceedings initiated for the imposition of additional stamp duty on account of alleged deficiency.
The basic issue therefore, is about the exemption being available as claimed by the petitioners for which the pleadings in the first writ petition have been completed except for filing of any response to the amended petition.
Learned Standing Counsel prays for two weeks' further time to file an affidavit in this petition and take such steps that may be necessary in the connected writ petition.
Two weeks and no more time is granted.
List immediately thereafter.
