We have heard Sri Ravindra Prakash Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents.

In substance, the petitioner appears to be aggrieved by non payment of Rs. 2,21,573/- which was to be paid to the petitioner in respect of work performed by the petitioner like catering of the coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner, with respect to Maghar Mahotsav, 2010. It is contended that aforesaid amount has been certified and recommended by the Sub Divisional Magistrate vide order dated 29.05.2009, but till date nothing has been paid.

Learned Standing Counsel is directed to seek instructions as to why, even after recommendation of Sub Divisional Officer 29.05.2009 the payment of the petitioner has yet not been made. In case, petitioner is entitled for payment the same shall be paid by 25.08.2017. In case of non payment, the petitioner shall be entitled interest for the delayed payment from 2009 to 2017.
