Heard Sri Raghunath Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned A.G.A. for the State of U.P.

This petition has been filed with a prayer to issue a writ of Mandamus commanding the opposite parties not to harass, threaten and interfere in peaceful life of the petitioners and family members of petitioner no. 2 in any manner along with issue a writ of Mandamus commanding the concern police authorities to provide security and safety to the petitioners forthwith.

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioners that both the petitioners are major and willingly married to each-other. As per the documents annexed on record and as per the copy of Kutumb Register, both the petitioners are major and they are living together happily on their own free will. It is informed that no F.I.R. has been lodged against the petitioners.

Issue notice to the opposite party no. 4, returnable at an early date.

Steps be taken within a week.

List after service of notice.

In the meanwhile, learned A.G.A. may file counter affidavit after obtaining instructions.

As an interim measure, opposite party nos. 2 and 3 are directed to ensure that petitioners live peacefully and police protection shall be provided to the petitioners so that they are not harassed or threatened in any manner.
