An affidavit has been filed by the contemnors in connected Criminal Contempt No. 21 of 2008. The proceedings in the said contempt petition has been stayed by the Supreme Court, but so far as the present contempt proceedings are concerned, it appears that some special leave petition was filed bearing no. 5030 of 2015, which special leave petition was dismissed as withdrawn observing that such dismissal will not preclude the petitioner from raising all questions before the High Court. This order is also incorporated in the same order of the Apex Court dated 17.8.2015 and as informed by the learned counsel, it relates to the present proceedings.
Since notice has also been taken of the publication of the article of the year 2008 also in the present proceedings therefore it would be appropriate that this criminal contempt is heard after the matter is disposed of by the Apex Court in Special Leave Petition (Criminal) No.5030 of 2015. The contemnors shall bring any order passed by the Apex Court to the notice of this Court and shall also supply the copies of the SLPs as directed earlier.
