Petitioner had furnished details of two bank accounts in order to satisfy an essential condition of the advertisement that the candidate should have with her a sum of Rs. 2,00,000/- at the time of making the application. On actual verification of the bank account on the basis of the information supplied by the petitioner in her application, respondent found that it did not have the aforesaid sum. Accordingly, the selection of the petitioner has been cancelled.
Learned counsel for the petitioner could not dispute the finding so recorded. However, it is suggested that the third account of her father wherein on the relevant date there was more than Rs. 2,00,000/- and the petitioner has committed a mistake in not supplying information regarding this third account.
This Court does not find any fault in the decision of the Indian Oil Corporation which has verified the bank account, as per the account number furnished by the petitioner herself and has found that the money available in the account was not to the tune of Rs. 2,00,000/-. There is no good ground for interference in the writ petition.
The writ petition is dismissed.
