This petition seeks initiation of proceedings under the Contempt of Courts' Act 1971 against the respondent for willful obedience of order dated 12.3.2013 rendered in Writ Petition No.1382 (SS) of 2013.

It has been asserted that the petitioner has not been adjusted by the Selection Board, although the period provided for the said purpose in the order at issue has lapsed.

Sri H.S. Jain, Advocate, has accepted notice on behalf of respondent and undertakes to file a counter affidavit/affidavit of compliance on or before 19.8.2013.

List on 19.8.2013.

In case, the order has not been complied, the needful be done positively before the next date of listing or else, the respondent would be required to show cause as to why proceedings under the Contempt of Courts' Act be not initiated.

It is further made clear that in case counter affidavit is not filed, costs amounting to Rs.5000/- (Five thousand only) shall be imposed, to be recovered from the officer/official, who is found responsible for causing delay in the proceedings.
