Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned A.G.A. for the State and perused the material available on record.
By means of the instant petition, the petitioner has prayed for a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the opposite party no. 1 (Principal Judge, Family Court, Lucknow) to decide criminal case no. 716 of 2012, under Section 125 Cr.P.C. (Rekha Mehra/Bankoti Vs. Deepak Singh Bankoti) as expeditiously as possible.
Learned counsel for the petitioner restricts her prayer only to the extent that criminal case no. 716 of 2012, which is pending before the Principal Judge, Family Court, Lucknow, may be directed to be decided as expeditiously as possible.
Learned A.G.A. has no objection to this innocuous prayer.
In view of the above, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the Principal Judge, Family Court, Lucknow to decide Criminal Case No. 716 of 2012, in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, which is pending before him.
