September 21, 2018:

Horrible incident of shooting got noticed in Masontown, Pennsylvania, United States. The incident left 4 injured & 1 dead. Masontown is a rural Pennsylvania community of about 3,400 population.

People were gathering into the courthouse for the afternoon schedule when they suddenly heard gunfire just outside the room and got horrified.

Soon as shooter started to come inside, chaos broke out abruptly.

People started running, yelling and crying. He though succeeded in shooting four present there before police arrived. He was then encountered by the police.

The survivors seemed very disturbed from all that happened. They remarked that this is not the way justice is supposed to work.

Courthouse Survivors

Attorney David Kaiser was running his luck. He was at the Judge's Office when he sensed the gunfire outside the Courthouse.

Xuan Sayles saw a woman running for her life in the parking lot.

Sayles told reporters,"I turned around and saw a guy with a gun & a lady was five to eight feet away from the shooter and his gun jammed up. He was trying to get it to shoot again and it wouldn't shoot."

The gunman sadly lost his life at the scene while a policeman & three other victims were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Domestic Violence

Entire police department responded to the incident. As a cautionary step all the elementary school were locked down.

As per the reports, the incident was related to an ongoing 'Domestic Violence Case'. Judge Daniel Shimshock, who was the only judge at the single-level courthouse, was inside at the time.

The assailant was scheduled for a hearing. He was charged with strangulation & aggravated assault weeks earlier. A protective order had been issued.
