The Delhi High Court has taken a significant leap towards digital accessibility and efficiency by introducing a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing accessibility for visually impaired litigants and lawyers, as well as streamlining court proceedings.

These initiatives were inaugurated by Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Rajiv Shakdher, Chairman of the Information Technology Committee, among others.

Among the noteworthy initiatives launched is the "Web Accessibility Compliant Cause List," designed to assist visually impaired advocates, litigants, and the general public in seamlessly accessing the Delhi High Court's cause list. The system is built to be compatible with various accessibility text-to-speech software, ensuring that information is accessible to all. This initiative has been executed by the Accessibility Committee of the High Court, with Justice Rajiv Shakhder as its chairperson, in consultation with visually impaired advocates Rahul Bajaj and Amar Jain.

Additionally, the Delhi High Court introduced the "Secure, Scalable and Sugamya Website as a Service (S3WaaS)" platform, hosting ten new websites for all the Delhi District Courts. These websites adhere to Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) Compliance and utilize open-source technology. Notably, all documents on the websites are stored in OCR format, allowing visually impaired individuals to access documents effortlessly. The migration of data from previous websites to this new platform ensures a seamless transition.

Furthermore, the court implemented a "Digital Platform for Sharing Trial Court Records" that facilitates the sharing of trial court records between district courts and the High Court. This SSL VPN-based platform replaces the cumbersome process of using CDs for data transfer. By adopting this platform, district courts can share trial court records effortlessly, reducing expenses and enhancing efficiency.
