A 30-year-old woman, seeking divorce from her husband & pursuing a criminal case against him, was allegedly beaten twice within 8 days along with her mother, sister & sister-in-law with batons by some masked men in full public view outside their house at Sangam Vihar in south Delhi.
Poonam, along with her 3 women relatives, were 1st assaulted on Sept 10, for pursuing the divorce case against her husband Prem Chand, 35 & then again on this Tuesday for reporting the matter to police. The video of the twin assault have gone viral on social media.
Confirming the incident, police on Saturday said they have already arrested 4 men. Cops, however, are yet to arrest Prem Chand though Poonam named him in the case. Police said they are investigating the matter. "I want to leave him but he isn't ready to accept it," Poonam said.
