February 05, 2019:

With upcoming elections, the recruitment process in the State of Haryana has gained momentum; relief to unemployed youth of the State.

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (earlier Subordinate Services Selection Board) is constituted as per the proviso of Article 309 of constitution of India, vide Haryana Government Notification No.523-3GS-70/2068, dated 28.01.1970. Though, it was granted statutory status of Haryana Staff Selection Commission vide Haryana Govt. Gazette Notification dated 28.02.2005.

Recently, Haryana Staff Selection Commission has given momentum to the recruitment process which was due from a long period.

In 2015, the Commission promised to provide 54000 jobs. Thereafter, it had started the process but the speed of the recruitment process wasn't enough as it was expected.

The State Government has made an announcement for recruitment on more 18,000 posts which took the total job opportunity in Haryana to 71,500 posts. The Commission has recruited people on 54,000 posts till now but the speed it has shown in the past 40 days after election announcements is commendable. Had it shown the same speed from the beginning, many employees would have completed their 2 yr tenure.

It is also expected that 7110 vacancies in Police posts in the state will be filled by the next month.
