About the Organiser and the Conference
Indian Road Safety Campaign (IRSC), with the support of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and United Nations Institute of Training and Research (UNITAR), is organising International Conference on Safer Mobility under “iSAFE: The Safer India Challenge” to be held at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D) from 30th to 31st May 2019.Indian Road Safety Campaign has strived to improve the system of road safety in India and increase awareness in the society, especially among the youth (as it’s a Youth-Led organisation).
About the Competition
As a part of increasing awareness, IRSC organizes events and competitions on road safety and Road Safety Public Interest Litigation is one of it.
The Competition aims to promote student involvement in Road Safety Law by providing a fair and competitive environment for an exchange of thoughts.
The objective of the Competition is to improve and deepen the level of discourse in Road Safety and the related area of the law.
The IRSC Road Safety PIL Competition, 2019 will be conducted over two rounds – memorial qualification round and oral rounds.
The oral rounds will be held on 30.05.2019 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi Campus, New Delhi, Delhi- 110016.
Eligibility
The competition will be open to the Undergraduate and Postgraduate students enrolled in esteemed Universities. Cross University teams are also allowed in the competition.
Themes
The Panel will consider all relevant submissions which deals with the Road Safety Issues.

Registration Procedure and Fee Details:
To register for this competition, print the registration form present at the end of rules and regulations.
Fill the form, scan it and attach it at the end of the Online Registration Form in jpeg or pdf format.
Each Team must register for the Competition on or before 15.05.2019.
Candidates are required to print the form given in the rules and regulations, sign it and upload its scanned copy in the above mentioned registration form.
The top 20 Teams who do not qualify the Memorial Round will be awarded a Certification of Participation for the competition.
Memorials must be emailed in MS Word format and PDF format to competitions.irsc[at]road-safety.co.in by 11:59 pm IST on 20st May 2019.
For every hour of delay in memorial submission from the prescribed time of submission, one mark shall be deducted. Any memorial submitted 12 hours after the time prescribed above will not be accepted.
Prize
Winning submissions shall be invited to be presented at the Conference.
‘Prizes worth Rupees 10,000 along with the trophy and certificate to be won!’ As well as a chance to Interns with our Legal Board Members from Supreme Court and High Court, Judges, The Top teams PIL will be filed in the Supreme/ High Court with the help and support of Indian Road Safety Campaign.
Deadlines
The last date for submitting the form is 15th May 2019 and for Memorial submission is 20th May 2019.
