The Division Bench of the Patna High Court comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice S. Kumar in the case of Suo Motu v. The State of Bihar and Ors has been informed by the Bihar Government that the investigation in Gaighat Shelter Home case, which relates to sedation and sexual abuse of women, will be completed within 4 weeks.
The learned Advocate General appearing for the State informed the Bench that within next four weeks, the investigation would be completed and status report filed through the affidavit of Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna.
The Court had taken suo motu cognizance of the article published in newspaper regarding a complaint in which the woman alleged that the superintendent of Gaighat shelter home behaved rudely with inmates, who were also sexually exploited, said Kishori Sahchari, inspector at the woman police station.
The Court has posted the matter on 17.05.2022 for next hearing.
